Elise Michaels’ motto has always been: no guts, no glory. She is a thrill seeker, continually craving excitement and adventure. The idea of being tied down to a place or man never interested her, even though a betrothal spell was cast linking her and the Head of Council’s son when they were mere infants.
Being a distant third in succession to assume the Head Mistress role, she felt confident that her secret would remain in her past along with Coven life. Unfortunately, nothing in our fun loving heroine’s future is anything she or anyone from the supernatural realm is prepared for.
Now, she’s forced to return to the place and the Sorcerer she so desperately sought to forget.
Elise has no idea the power and gifts that await her. Can she let go of her own desires and embrace her new role? Or will she surrender to the faceless evil coming for them all?

 Cynthia St. Aubin
83 Pages (estimated)
Published Feb. 11th 2014
Price: $0.99 Or Free with Kindle Unlimited Subscription ( At the time of this Post)
t isn’t every day a sexy demigod throws a pissed-off Cupid onto psychologist Matilda Schmidt’s couch and informs her the fate of the world depends on her ability to get him off his diapered ass and back to helping people fall in love.
Just when Matilda convinces herself she’s not hallucinating, in walks a Vegas hit man with a big gun and a bigger threat: pay back the million dollars she owes a notorious casino mogul, or wind up as fish food in Lake Mead.
Rocketing across country with a gun to her head, Matilda has a dysfunctional love-god in her laptop bag, a million dollar debt she has no knowledge of, and must convince the seductive hit man he’s snatched the wrong woman before he convinces her he might be the right man—for a night.
Can Matilda stay alive long enough to keep love from becoming history?
I was hook by a handful of words. 83 pages at the time didn’t seem to be enough. Sadly The holidays got in the way of my enjoying this book in one sitting. Though I got to enjoy a bit here and bit there over the past couple days. Matilda had a lot of crap thrown at her in this book. I think she took it very well. OMG the men!!!
When Unlovable can to an end with a Riddle I sat in my bed , with what I am sure was a dumb found look upon my face. Again I knew it was 83 pages give or take. I just forgot with the couple minutes here and there I got.
I am giving this 5 stars. For being well written, and keeping my attention during a busy time of the year.

Demon Street Blues (Wicked Good Witches Book 1)

Demon Street Blues (Wicked Good Witches Book 1)
Starla Sliver
Published: November 16th 2014
Price: $0.00 (at the time of this Post)
The Howard Witches, three siblings charged with protecting The Demon Isle…
Charlie, the werewolf.
Michael, the empathic death reader.
Melinda, living under self-inflicted house arrest. Her gift: prophetic dreams of people about to die.
Their mentor, the four-hundred year old Vampire, William Wakefield. Charming, ridiculously handsome, and walking a dangerous line between sinking into darkness and living in the light. In constant temptation to declare his love for the one woman that could be his undoing.
The story begins with an unsolved murder. One that will change everything…
Come stalk the streets of The Demon Isle… you’ll go up against witches, vampires, werewolves, demons, guardians, shapeshifters, ghosts, ghasts, mermaids, faeries and a host of other devious supernatural creatures waiting to wreak havoc on The Demon Isle. Where fans of the paranormal come to vacation and immerse themselves in fantasy. Where magic comes to life, mysteries abound, and you might just find yourself laughing, crying, and most definitely, falling in love.
In Book One:
Melinda Howard is the Demon Isle’s weird girl… the one that’s been holed up in the Howard Mansion for the last four years. Why? No one knows the truth except her family… a long line of witches charged with protecting the Demon Isle, along with their mentor, the four-hundred year old Vampire, William Wakefield.
Another reason Melinda doesn’t mind her self-inflicted imprisonment. She gets to spend her days with the charming vampire, who also happens to be her best friend. Only now, she’s spending her night’s with him too. He just doesn’t know it…
Any other girl would enjoy the nightly thrill of a sexy vampire invading her dreams. But not Melinda as her dreams have a tendency to come true. Although typically, they don’t include the handsome vampire she’s crushing on, but rather horrifying visions of people about to die.
But she cannot stay under self-inflicted house arrest forever. And if her brothers or William get their choice in the matter, Melinda will be out of the house partying with her friends, giving her affections to a human, not a vampire, and digging into her role as a witch.
A role her eldest brother Charlie lives for and a role her second brother Michael would rather live without. Nevertheless, when duty calls, usually from the local sheriff needing help with some tourist who’s gotten themselves into trouble, life screeches to a stop, and duty takes over.
Such is the case when the sheriff needs help with a four-year-old murder investigation; one she fears has a supernatural cause. To assist her in the case, she calls upon the skills of The Howard Witches.
However, what they learn might be more than any of them can deal with, or accept. Worse yet, they fear what this discovery will do to Melinda, as it returns them all to the core of her self-imprisonment.
Back to the lives, she could not save…
…..First thing first I am realist… Demon Street Blues (Wicked Good Witches Book 1) is an ADULT version of Make Me a Real Girl (The Demon Isle Book 1) So if this sounded familiar now you know why.
Over a Year ago I read the PG one. Than Exactly a Year later I re-read it with my full attention. I enjoyed it very much. (You can read my Review on it Here) A Couple months ago, Rachel Humphrey D’aigle Posted about having so many request for an Adult one that she decided to give it a go. Her and another Author got together and Made it more Adult and penned it under the name Starla Silver.
The Characters are still there, The Plot is the same, the story line got pump up a bit. Hmmm not sure pump is the word I should use??? Any who.. This is my honest opinion about Demon Street Blues. I Felt some of the F Bombs diminished the characters a bit. All Except Eva the profanity just suited her better. Charlie seemed a bit more rougher around the edges this time around. Which wasn’t a bad thing. Micheal was the same, the extra scene was a bit nice… Just certain phrase made me wince. Melinda, her using profanity to me just seemed off. I know she is a grown woman and all that jazz. Just felt like it made her less for some reason. Which is odd, since I have been accused of making sailors blush. If someone told me that my potty mouth diminished me or made me less than who I am. I salute to them with my middle finger as I tell them they can kiss my Mother F’n Lily white a$$. The dream scene was nicely written with out any hiccups. The scene with the young man on the street. I didn’t really like that. I kinda preferred him to be a mystery until the next book.
The ending to Season one, has me torn, I like the extended ending with the couple. But I did really like the WTF ending with Eva in the PG one.
If I have to pick my Favorite, I am going to Go with the Make me a Real Girl, I never noticed it wasn’t a grown up story. Never Noticed that Rachel faded to black on scenes. Okay I lie I did notice but I like it. I have enough imagination to get why Melinda’s dreams had her flushed and bothered. I can understand that a guy is having umm troubles without being crass about it. Though if you have never read any of the Demon Isle Books, and are new to the Howard Witches, and prefer your books a bit More adult, crass, naughty. I would highly recommend Demon Street Blues.
Would I read the rest of Wicked Good Witches series? If I was requested to or was gifted any of the books. Yes, I would read them. Would I go out on my own and buy them? I don’t really think I would, I love the Howards Just as they are.

Legends of The Crypt ( The Molly Maddison Series Book 2)

Legends of The Crypt ( The Molly Maddison Series Book 2)
By: K.A. Young
Published: December 5th 2014
Pages: 150 (estimated)
Price: $2.99
I’ve never been your average girl, seeing the dead has always been a way of life for me. I’d made peace with it, for the most part anyway and tried to lead a normal life as possible. I went away to school, with intentions to make a difference in the world. All that changed one day when my dad died and I got dragged into a world of deadly creatures and ancient legends….
Molly Maddison soon finds out that nothing and no one is what they seem and it is serious grow up time. In her fight to stay alive and make things right, Molly must find the spear of legends—a weapon spelled into hiding centuries ago by a Crypt Keeper, the only weapon that will send the inhabitants of hell to a final death. Molly is torn between two deadly immortals: Levi, an entity as irresistible as he is dangerous, and Damon Night, her Guardian and sworn protector.
For centuries the Crypt Keepers of the living dimension have kept the gates of hell sealed. Now that the creatures are leaking through the cracks, Molly is the only one that stands a chance of saving the universe from utter destruction.
Legends of the Crypt starts right where the Crypt Keeper ended. Maybe a page or two from where it ended. Which is great for those who have been waiting for Legends of the Crypt. For those who are going from the first book to the second right away, you get to read a couple pages over again. You find out exactly who Levi is…. (Cue Dramatic Music).
Then you have your basic Molly, always demanding trust and never giving it to Damon. ( I am Team Damon right now) Actually there is loads of tension between those two in this book, more so than last. Just thinking about right now has me doing a little dance in my chair.
With all that, Molly has other P.I.T.A. People to deal with. That poor girl can’t catch a break. There were moments I might of thought about throwing a fit or two. Other moments I was laughing or biting my nails. OMGOODNESS there was even a WTF moment for me. Loads of moments for me LOL.
Legends of the Crypt should get a higher mark than 5 stars. Though I have yet to  figure out how to do that. It has everything I could want, New characters, Plot twist with existing characters. The fluid writing made this another great Adventure and Vacation for my Mind.

Author: Ava Catori
Place Published: Amazon Google Play  Kobo
Publication Date: 02/07/2014
“This story was originally released under the title of Witch’s Brew in 2012. It has since been re-written and expanded.”
Pages: 87
Special Features: Part of a 10 book Bundle – First Book in the Bundle
Price: $2.99
Raven’s weakness is sexy, mortal men and falling in love. Her sister is frustrated, because getting tangled in a relationship with a mortal can cause big trouble for the witch community. Smitten with Derek, her hot and hunky boyfriend, Raven has to make a decision. Choosing the path of the mortal mate may cost her something important.
Raven’s weakness is as old as time. Why are mortal men so hot to those who are not mortal? Zarie her sister is complete against Raven dating mortal men. Benji her brother is worried for her well being knowing that is could all end in a huge mess for her heart. Though Raven is stubborn and knows all the cons of dating such men she can’t help herself. She is addicted to the tingles that being romanced by mortal men brings. Though her family rather her become in love with a fellow witch and have witch babies. With the Looming of “Season of the Witch” around the corner everyone is pushing what they think is right. Is tradition the correct path or is her heart. Is Derek truly the one. Is he strong enough for it. These are the questions Raven will have to face. Ones you will be asking yourself.
I am giving this story 4 stars. Ava Catori has a great story here. Though the fast pace and length of it left me feeling needing more. With the random lines and what I felt about hints with in the story, I truly felt Derek would be more than what he seemed. I will be honest this is the first time I have ever read anything from this Author. So I can’t say much but what I felt about this story. I was not impressed with the term mortal was thrown around, without knowing if the Witches are immortal. Knowing they are other-worldly doesn’t always mean immortal. Well not in my brain it doesn’t. Then there were parts that just piss my woman self entitlement parts. Even with all that, I still have to say it was a entertaining enough to have me finish it, wonder if there is something more out there that would answer the million and one questions this left me.
Ava Catori also writes under the names Lauren Keller (Gritter Romances) and Amber Adwell (Western Romance) For More information Please check her out atwww.avacatori.com
On Goodreads this Book has an average of 3 stars with 15 people rating it and 3 reviews. Ava Catori has a strong writing persona that I am willing to get to know better.

However neither life or death ever go as planned and Molly is called upon to perform her role as the family Crypt Keeper…
This Post is Long Over Due on my Part…. (This will be explained later on :P)
When one of your favorite Authors sends word out that they are writing a new series, one of two emotions can run through your soul. Excitement or dread, why would one dread a new series, I really have no explanation behind this. We cross our fingers and hope that the new series will find a niche in our hearts with all the others.
When Crypt Keeper ping in my e-mail, I was having a craptastic day. You Know those days where you can’t even stand to be in the room with yourself. There was Molly Maddison ready and willing to take me away on a grand ole adventure.
I Have Been following K.A. Young for awhile, most people know how much I adore this woman and her writing. With a New series I was hoping I could put all the other series and Characters that I love and make room for the new kids to play.
K.A. Young didn’t disappoint me not once in Crypt Keeper. First handful of chapters, I was laughing..( I might of snorted… Might of ) I Pulled a muscle in my eyebrow ( Do we have muscles there?) One Point I took a cold shower ( Than a hot bath, I was cold)
At this crazy point when so many Characters are yelling the book just ended….. I took K.A. Young’s name in vain. The next day I was down for the count, sore throat from hell. With each day I was plagued with something new and painful with my sinus infection. I will spare you all the whine and moan from it. To say the least I was miserable.
Since than I was walking around the house pissing and moaning how could she leave it hanging at such a crucial point!!!! With no explanation what the hell was going on!!! I mean really WTF!
Yesterday I had an update for my document reader on my iPad. So after that was all done I opened it up to see what it was all about. To be honest I just downloaded it so I could read in the car while waiting for my kids to get out of school, and later in the tub. Didn’t really look to closely at the dang app. To find out that it will only let you read the first 100 pages of a document! Then it hit me, I have not read all of Crypt Keeper. This was one of those moments when I truly feel like a complete idiot. In all my excitement to get my hands all over this book, I miss the last part of the book.
I am so thankful that I didn’t write this up in my sickness daze, since you all would of gotten a half-ass review… when you finally get to read it, wonder WTF I was on.
So it doesn’t end with everyone yelling, that scene gets explained. I feel loads better being able to read to the end. ( I never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the box)
So how much do I love this book, LOADS, to the point I ordered it with only reading 2/3 of it. Molly Maddison is just F*cking Awesome, Her best friend is a riot! Those men in her life… Holy Batman. Yeah I said men…. Now reading to the end, I am not sure who I would choose for her. I am stalking K.A. Young as we speak to keep up to date on the second book.
What Have I learned from this experience, well I still don’t want to see dead people, unless they are cool dead people. That taking an Author’s name in vain will render you ill. To fully read all app information so not to make myself into an idiot.
This is what I will Leave you with…. Here is the Link to the first two Chapters. Give yourself a treat and read them!

Witches of Demon Isle Box Set ( Volumes 1,2,& 3)

Witches of Demon Isle Box Set ( Volumes 1,2,& 3)
        By Rachel Humphrey -D’aigle
         262 Pages
         Published Dec. 9, 2013
Melinda Howard is the Demon Isle’s weird girl… the one that’s been holed up in the Howard Mansion for the last four years. Why? No one knows the truth except for her family… a long line of witches charged with protecting the Demon Isle, currently led by four hundred year old vampire, William Wakefield. Another reason Melinda doesn’t mind her self-inflicted imprisonment. She gets to spend more time with William, her crush for nearly all her life who’s too hot for words. And now, so are her dreams.
Dreams that have a tendency to come true. Although typically, they don’t include the handsome vampire she’s crushing on but rather horrifying visions of people about to die.
But she cannot stay under self-inflicted house arrest forever! And if her brothers or William get their choice in the matter, Melinda will be out of the house partying with her friends on the beach, giving her affections to a human, not a vampire, and getting into her role as a witch.
A role her eldest brother Charlie lives for, and a role her second brother Michael would rather live without. But when duty calls, usually from the local sheriff needing help with some tourist who’s gotten themselves into trouble, life, fun and choice get set aside and duty takes over.
Such is the case when the sheriff needs help solving a murder; one she fears is supernatural in nature. To assist her in the case, she calls upon the skills of Charlie, who’s a little more than just a Howard Witch, and Michael, an empath and death reader.
What Michael discovers from the reading however, could be more than any of them can deal with or accept. Worse yet, they fear what this discovery will do to Melinda, as it returns them all to the core of her self-imprisonment.
Back to the lives she could not save…
“Make Me a Real Girl”
Volume 1, I have read before. I tore through my stuff to see if I wrote anything about it, I did not. :( More and likely I read this waiting for the next Fated Saga Book to come out. I do have the tendency to get hooked on a series and the other things an Author writes doesn’t hold for me. This is where I can be labeled a “Snob”.
I was happy to pick this Box set up, and to get to know the Howards’ and William all over again.
Rachel’s writing is something I call my brain crack. In which my mind can slip from character to character easily.
So In volume 1 you get a nice set up of the characters, place, and the main plot line, with a great dose of mystery. If you have only Volume 1, do yourself a favor and get the others since volume 1 leaves you hanging!
“What Bites Me”
WOW! Fast Paced and Nail biting! So Much happens to the Howard Siblings in one day. I want to say more. Alas I fear It might spoil the ride. I will state this about Volume 2 it leaves you hanging also! Who knew three little dots could be so mean!
“Trick Me, Trick Me Not”
Can the Howards ever catch a break. Well if they did it would be slightly boring spot as the plot twists and thickens. New Supernaturals are introduced. At least when when Volume 3 leaves with yet another hanger, it answers a question. Granted I went “DUH!” when it happened.
My conclusion in this…… Witches Of The Demon Isle Box set Has kept me Highly entertained for a Day. I love these types of tiny books. Makes having a nice cup of coffee so enjoyable!
5 Stars!
