The Re-release of Accidentally Perfect is like a whole new book. Get to know Nathan and Laney a little bit better with extended scenes.

Does perfect really exist? Can you have the perfect life, perfect love, a perfect husband? Can everything in your life be bright and sunny? That’s what Laney always wanted; something opposite of her parents’ marriage. Brad wasn’t perfect, by all means he wasn’t, but the love her daughters had for their father was close enough to perfection as Laney needed. She may not have the head-over-heels-in-love type of marriage, but it worked, or so she thought, until she finds out Brad has been banging a fellow teacher.

Years later, with her heart healed and lessons learned, Laney sees her then boyfriend, ass up and face down between the legs of his neighbor.

With too much alcohol, too much dancing, and too much meddling from her best friend, Laney finds herself in Las Vegas, waking up in the bed of a beautiful stranger with a diamond on her finger and him calling her his wife.

Has Laney finally found the man that’s perfect for her? Even if she found him by accident?

| EXCERPT|

Holly was reaching for the keys on her belt when Kirk spoke again. “That your daughter? Tommy’s daughter?”
“Yes.” The young woman smiled fondly as she opened the office. “Madison. She’s sweet. Don’t let that sour face fool you.” She didn’t let it fool her. Even if she hadn’t seen Maddy smile in months, Holly knew that she still could. And one day, she would.
She just had to be patient.
“Alright, Mr. Luckston. Let’s talk about your proposition.” Leaning against the desk that still so reminded her of Tommy, Holly turned to face Luckston – only to watch him close the door behind them and turn the lock.
Almost immediately, the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end. From the moment she’d seen him, something had unnerved her about Kirk Luckston’s smile, and now, Holly found her sense of unease growing.
“Just making sure that we have some privacy, Holly. You don’t mind if I call you Holly, do you?” The man turned to face her, his expression congenial – eyes still cold.
“Um…I do, actually.” She managed, pressing herself against the desk as the man advanced on her. Holly now noticed that he’d placed himself between her and the door – which meant there was no way she could get to help should she happen to need it.
“Do you?” Now Luckston was a mere two feet away, and Holly found her entire body tensing as he loomed ever closer. Warning sirens wailed in her head, and her stomach clenched in trepidation. She realized, far too late, that it had been a mistake to let this man get her alone. “Well, that’s unfortunate, Holly. Just too damn unfortunate.”
Holly grabbed hold of the first thing her scrabbling fingers found on Tommy’s desk – which just so happened to be a stapler. Before she could put too much thought into it, she swung the object forward towards Kirk Luckston’s face – only to have her wrist caught in a strong, jarring grip. When the dark-haired woman opened her mouth to scream, Kirk’s opposite hand closed around her throat in a painfully tight grip, cutting off her airflow within milliseconds.
Luckston performed these actions with the ease of someone practiced in them – and not once did his expression change from one of congenial friendliness. “Now, Holly, I want you to listen to me.”
As if she had a choice. The man was choking her, his grip so tight that stars soon burst to life before her vision. “You’re not going to scream. You’re not going to yell. In fact, if you utter one peep to do anything other than answer when I speak to you, I’m going to take this stapler to places you can’t even imagine. Do we understand one another?”
Her heart pounding wildly, Holly nodded. Luckston let her gasp for air a little while longer before he finally released her. As air rushed back into her system, Holly began to tremble. She was caught between fury and terrible, crippling fury at the man who still held her. He plucked the stapler from her grasp to toss aside before locking eyes with her once more.
“That’s better. Now, I think, we’re ready to talk.”
The young woman’s gaze narrowed to a glare. “What do you want?”
Luckston hit her – and not just a warning shot. He hauled off and slammed the flat of his hand into her jaw so hard she went reeling from the desk to the floor with a thud that jarred her joints. Pain exploded through her line of vision and she tasted blood in her mouth – and in that instant, Holly knew that this was not a man to be trifled with. Any thought she might have had of standing up to him was going to hurt.
A lot.
“What,” Kirk cracked the bones in the knuckles of the hand with which he’d struck her. “Did I just say?”
This time, Holly said absolutely nothing. She knew better. She touched her lip, wincing when she found the rent skin and her fingers came away stained red.
“There we go.” Kirk chuckled darkly, the edge of insanity in his voice. “I think she gets it now.”
The last time Holly had been so helplessly afraid was the night Tommy had been killed. Was tonight going to be like that night?

Love Me Series.png

| Author Bio |

After growing up in Saranac Lake, a small town in upstate NY, Kathy-Jo Reinhart returned to her birth place and where she spent her summers with her grandparents, St. Petersburg, Florida, after graduating High School. The sub zero climate and piles of snow definitely weren’t a loss, in her opinion, and this is where she still resides with her Husband of fifteen years and their eleven year old son, who they lovingly refer to as their miracle baby. A name righteously earned after a very difficult and scary pregnancy with 7 1/2 months on complete bed rest.

By day, she works as an Office Manager for a construction company started by her grandfather and uncle. Like most people, she has a love hate relationship with her job, but cherishes all the years she was able to work side by side with her grandfather before he passed away.

Writing has always been something that she has loved. In school, creative writing was her favorite class. Writing a book was something she had always wanted to do, but was too afraid she didn't have what it took to make it happen. After going from working sixty hours a week to twenty, she found herself with a lot of extra time on her hands and decided it was time to take the leap. Crossing her fingers and closing her eyes, she jumped into creating the Oakville series and hasn’t looked back.

The first five star review she received after First Love, the first book in the Oakville series, was published, left her speechless, overwhelmed with emotion, and so blown away that someone really liked what she had written. Her initial fears seemed to calm and reassured her that others love her writing just as much as she loves doing it. How it will all turn out, still remains a mystery, but she’s having a blast seeing where these characters will take her.

When she isn’t spending time with her characters, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, scrapbooking, and doing ancestry research.

BGA excerpt.jpg

“Trace,” Micah said, tilting his head toward his sidekick.

“Yeah?”

“Get these people out of here.”

Using his tongue to slide a matchstick from one side of his mouth to the other, Trace acknowledged Micah’s request with a quick nod then turned toward the humans still milling around the apartment. Barely lifting his hand, he captured every one of them under compulsion. Instant silence replaced the nonstop chatter.

She’d only seen Trace use his freakshow influence once before. Inside Bain’s courtroom, when he’d held the guards under his control to protect Micah. God help her, but seeing him wield his power again turned her on as much now as it had then.

As the humans began moving robotically toward the door, waves of energy wafted around her like ribbons of silk. They circled her, caressed her, and lit her senses on fire.

She drew in a long, trembling breath as his energy touched every part of her. Her pulse hitched. Her nipples tightened. Her core clenched. If just the energy he put off was enough to make her feel this way, how would it feel to actually have him against her body, inside her, licking her nipples with his tongue instead of his aura?

It was suddenly too hot inside the apartment. Too sultry. Too so-help-me-God-but-I-need-to-come. She shrugged out of her coat and pressed her fingers to her brow as she fought the arousal building inside her like the impending eruption of a volcano. She hadn’t had an orgasm since Gideon, and she didn’t want her first one since to be in front of Micah and Trace while they were supposed to be investigating a crime scene.

She sat down in a side chair and pressed her legs together, but that didn’t help. Trace’s energy was invading her like a Viking hoard, pillaging her body indiscriminately, and all she could do was pray he would get those humans out of there in the next ten seconds before she humiliated herself.

“Jesus, can’t you hurry it up already?” she barked.

The door slammed shut as the last human exited the apartment.

Trace lowered his hand, and the unbearably pleasurable sensations shut off. Thank God! She’d only been seconds away from the most incredible cataclysmic orgasm she’d ever had. Not that she wouldn’t mind that kind of pleasure, just not in front of an audience. Not in front of him.

Trace turned toward her and plucked the matchstick from between his sensual lips. “What’s your problem?” His strong brow scrunched over his heavily lidded eyes.

Why did his eyes always make him look like he was seducing someone? Trace rocked bedroom eyes like no one she’d ever met.

She gathered herself against the fading sensations as they released her nerves then stood, brushing her hands down the front of her black shirt. “Nothing. You just move like molasses. You’d think with all that fancy power you could get the job done a little faster.”

Any faster, and she might actually have splintered into a million euphoric pieces.

Trace’s sexy mouth twisted into a knowing smirk. “Sometimes slower is better, baby.”
