This is an adult fairy tale retelling in the Havenwood Falls series of New Adult and Adult fantasy novellas featuring a variety of supernatural creatures. The series is a collaborative effort by multiple authors. Each book is generally a stand-alone, so you can read them in any order, although some authors will be writing sequels to their own stories. Please be aware when you choose your next read. We do recommend that you read Forget You Not first as an introduction to the town and its eccentricities.

The start of The Winged and The Wicked was a bit scattered for my taste. Though this would be character development, not poor writing. So it personally started out slow for me. In the middle when the action picks up so does the book. I was now hooked and wasn't letting go. Then the end came. I can't fully explain why it lost a star without spoilers. Some things needed a bit more detail and explanation of why certain people did what they did and/or why they were there.
Now I would recommend it for these reasons. 1. Kristie Cook 2. Havenwood Falls 3. HA! Mathew is spelled with one T! This made my day! 4. It was still an overall good read. Well worth my couple of hours I gave to the book.
